The Moon’s Aquarius ingress at 05:38 am EST on Saturday, December 19th, could feel liberating and stim us rebellious and therefore we might be compelled to push a few buttons in order to organize things differently later on when she will square Pallas in Scorpio. We could have achieved our objective at the time of her trine to Saturn in Libra, an accomplishment from whence our Self-respect could grow and so could our contentment based on the favorable prospects we may now realize, indicated by Venus in Sagittarius’ sextile to Chiron in Aquarius, which precedes Juno’s ingress into Aries at 05:08 pm EST. This marks a period when we take on a stronger, more self-determined role in our relationships and initiate interactions with others. In this context will a square from Venus in Sagittarius to Uranus in Pisces shake us up on the inside, which could challenge us to become aware of how our value system can undermine our progress, especially what the ranking of our priorities concerns and the ease with which we can get distracted by the things we prefer to do or like to indulge in. It may strike us that we somehow got off track, whereby the original purpose we’ve been pursuing disappeared in the background. With the Aquarian Moon moving into this square the situation could take a turn or two and while this could prove to be very stimulating, albeit more or less pleasant, the emotional excitement or storm could trigger provocative responses with the possibility to alter our attitude and shift priorities, right as Mars in Leo prepares to change direction, turning the energy back on our intentions for Self-affirming action.

Thus, on Sunday, December 20th, will we wake to a stationing retrograde Mars at 19:41:42 Leo at 08:26:19 am EST that could see us fighting with ourselves under all the heat and pressure, particularly so as the Aquarian Moon keeps following up with stressful octiles, beginning with a semi-square to the Sun in Sagittarius at 09:50 am EST, which could increase inner tensions considerably, that is succeeded by another semi-square to Juno in Aries at 12:43 pm EST that will be putting even more strain on our relations and could kick the Self to the fore and us into gear to be ready to rock’n'roll and conquer when Ceres will ingress into Sagittarius at 03:24 pm EST, which signifies a time when we support our development by ways of growing, expanding and compensating. Yet another semi-square from the Aquarian Moon to Pluto in Capricorn in addition to a sesqui-quadrate to Saturn in Libra only shortly later could provide strong motivation to take control, do what is necessary and be either insisting or resisting, while we may undergo a series of chaotic feelings, which could result in a state of inner discord, indicated by Vesta in Virgo’s sesqui-quadrate to Eris Rx in Aries. This crisis can be resolved by applying focus, analyzing the situation without prejudice and attempting to be reasonable instead of letting us be rushed or stressed out as the Aquarian Moon moves on to oppose Mars Rx in Leo. Thus, if we can restrain from overreacting, we may conclude that patience is a virtue  – it just takes some faith in the process of getting us to where we wanted to go in the first place - and then the day could end in great relief and optimistic anticipation of better times, which could feel truly uplifting after the hectic pace of the preceding hours, suggested by Venus in Sagittarius’ sextile to Jupiter in Aquarius.

Mars’ retrograde through Leo will last until March 11, 2010. However, the shadow phase spans from October 19, 2009 to May 17, 2010. For more info please open this link: http://juliedemboski.wordpress.com/2009/12/17/mars-retrograde-december-2009/.

A sextile from Pallas in Scorpio to Pluto in Capricorn together with a trine between Venus in Sagittarius and Eris Rx in Aries provides us with a chance to influence a situation in a way that could help us to consolidate our personal power and which could consequently raise our Self-worth, leading ultimately to greater Self-fulfillment.

Over the last few days I have been ‘growing an infection’ that naturally became worse with every day that passed, which forced us to find a dentist again to get that looked after. Luckily, I could convince J to take this day off from work and drive me to London to an emergency dental care unit. We feared it would be a root canal procedure, but so far it seems ‘only’ to be a gum infection (still pretty painful). However, I have to take anti-biotics and had to book follow-up appointments. We used the opportunity to enjoy the day anyway and got even our Christmas shopping done together with the grocery shopping. J bought me a beautiful red laptop at Best Buy, complete with mouse, software, memory stick and a bag for transportation. I like that the logo on it says “Mobile Lifestyle” – how fitting! After that we went to “Montana’s” for a late lunch. Later on it turned out to J’s advantage to have all weekend to take care of his business, because both of us have a lot of catching up to do.

A trine from Venus in Sagittarius to Mars in Leo allows for a free flow of our creative intentions and can assist us to assert ourselves in a way that gets us what we want.

When J told me about his intentions to trade in a computer I suggested to use mine for this deal, because even though it’s a laptop and I can take it with me on my travels I have to disconnect the camera and the microphone every single time and then we experience problems with Microsoft (they’re infamous for the compatibility issues they equipped their products with) when we attempt to reinstall the camera. This inspired him to play around with the idea until he came up with an even better one – selling his computer, taking my laptop for his purposes and buying me a new one with inbuild camera.

At 07:02 am EDT begins a new soli-lunar cycle or New Moon at 24:39 Sagittarius with the Sabian Symbol:

“A chubby boy on a hobby-horse. Keynote: The anticipatory enjoyment of powers one can only as yet dream utilizing – FORESHADOWING.”

(Dane Rudhyar, “An Astrological Mandala: The Cycle of Transformations and Its 360 Symbolic Phases”, Pages 224-225)

This message contains great promise that is accompanied by a sense of expansiveness and adventure derived from stimulation and excitement (New Moon in Sagittarius sextile triple conjunction in Aquarius). However, it is important to note that the boy in this symbolical picture isn’t in the best shape for such an undertaking as his ’impediment’ could get him ’thrown off his horse’ in no time, which adds a twist to the situation (New Moon in Sagittarius square Uranus in Pisces). Therefore, as we enter this new cycle in an enterprising spirit and with grand vision, awareness of the risks, inclusive our own weaknesses and shortcomings, could prevent us from overreaching and failure. Underneath our apparent “abundance” things could be other than it seems and a misconception of the larger picture or misguided optimism might invite disaster – the last thing we need now that we have a chance to turn a situation to our advantage and to enhance our options. At this point, it would be advisable to pause and reflect to safeguard our further advance. It would also be wise to listen to our inner voice to get a clear understanding of the way ahead before we actually embark on it in order to see where we’re going with this. Yet, this doesn’t mean to shy away from the endeavor or to dismiss our dreams as phantasmagorical, but to be properly prepared for the journey. A healthy portion of uncertainty and personal unsureness, however slight and fleeting, may get us farther in the end than blindly rushing to the occasion would. Trusting in our luck solely, thereby forsaking the process that will get us to our goal, would be foolish. Instead, as we aim for the stars we need to keep our minds and hearts open to be receptive toward guidance. Thus, we’ll be creating a symbiotic relationship between our imagination and the universal mind. The Moon’s Capricorn ingress at 05:31 pm EST adds a dose of realism to our lofty flights of fancy - just to make sure we don’t get carried away.

It has become a habit of mine to set up an hair appointment on the day of the New Moon, which is sometimes difficult to arrange, but this time it was perfect with Venus in conjunction to the lunation. So, this ‘beauty enhancement’ added some delight to my day, especially after I had to deal with the garbage disposal in the morning. I also picked up my last book I had ordered at the post office and sent the Christmas cards away. Although I’ve been outside only for a few minutes, I hurried up, because it was freezing cold. Strangely enough, this year I haven’t seen many signs of the approaching festive season – no Christmas music (which I personally find relieving!); there’s no hectic in the streets; neither are the stores overrun by people, no busyness; not much decorating going on, parking spots are available etc.etc. – Seems as though we’ve reached the peak of consumerism and now things are turning around, subtly and inescapably. This begs for the question: Is there hope that we’re returning to the true spirit of the season? – which ultimately means: Is there hope for us as a society and culture?  – However, I felt I needed to talk to a friend and skyped Carola. We’ve refreshed some of our memories of better times during our long chat. She sent me several pictures from her family and our common friends from those days, while I was taking video shots of her and her surroundings and sent them back to her. Inspite of the nostalgic moments we’ve indulged in, it was much fun – “Home is where the heart is.”

A sextile from the Sun in Sagittarius to Neptune in Aquarius could shine a light down our path, from which we may get a glimpse into the future that enriches our imagination.

It started to snow this morning and it wouldn’t stop. The more the outside changed into a real winterscape the more doubts arose in my mind in regard to my driving skills and as time passed by I began to question if I’d be able to keep my dentist appointment. When the transiting Sagittarius Moon squared off my natal Uranus-Chiron opposition I reached a point where I was ALMOST ready to quit, because it looked like the weather was getting ‘heavier’. But then it cleared off again, while I was getting ready for the appointment and thus I summoned my courage, started the car and let it warm up as I removed the snow, which seemed to take forever. Once I was on the highway it turned out that it wasn’t that bad at all. My view from within this small, ’snowed in’ town, had been deceiving me. On my way back home came even the Sun out (or maybe that was just a sign – big grin). Mission accomplished. – Moreover, I’ve written the Christmas cards, which have to be send via airmail overseas. Sadly enough I wasn’t able to do some creative stuff, because I felt the flu returning. So, I had to ‘retreat’ for the rest of the evening.
